The Center for Evidence to Practice (Center for E2P) is identifying behavioral health practitioners in Louisiana who are equipped to successfully participate in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) training and implementation. Due to the identified need for Medicaid behavioral health services specific to children and their caregivers, EMDR has been selected by the Office of Behavioral Health (OBH) as an evidence-based program that will be expanded statewide.

Implementing EMDR via Telehealth Platforms

Description: Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, behavioral health practitioners have rapidly transitioned services to telehealth platforms. Evidence-based programs are complex, and practitioners face many challenges in adjusting these services to a web or phone-based formats. In efforts to support Louisiana’s behavioral health practitioners through this transition, the Center for Evidence to Practice is coordinating webinars and consultation calls specific to implementing EBPs via telehealth platforms.

CEUs: This course eligible for 2.0 CEU credit hours. Upon successful course completion, your certificate will be available for download and you may use it to apply for continuing education units with your respective licensing board upon renewal.
